Publication Design
Designed a fictional sports publication titled HerStride, focusing on women in sports. I started by creating a logomark, then developed the overall identity, including the magazine cover and multiple spreads. The publication’s goal was to highlight and celebrate the achievements of women in the sports world, offering a fresh perspective within the sports media landscape.
How it started
The first part of this project focused on designing a logomark for my publication. After extensive ideation and iteration, I developed a bold logomark that captures the essence of HerStride, a publication that celebrates female athletes. I chose a strong typeface to symbolize the female athletes featured reflecting qualities like balance, strength,and agility. By refining parts of this typeface I ended up with an appropriate logomark.

Process
After finalizing the logomark, I moved on to designing the spreads for the publication. I began by experimenting with various grid systems until I decided on the correct one for my content. Next, I selected, legible, fitting typefaces for the body copy and ensured that the images and text worked cohesively. The process then involved refining and iterating until everything came together.
